People come here to answer a specific question for a specific jurisdiction — among them retailers, manufacturers, compliance teams, and counsel who need the current rule before they act.
A small number of sponsored placements are available to organizations that serve that audience. They are sold directly, reviewed individually, and kept clearly separate from the reference itself.
Who fits
To protect reader trust, placements are limited to compliance-neutral categories. We do not run consumer product ads, vendor buy links, or affiliate placements.

What a sponsor can and cannot do
These rules are non-negotiable. They are why a placement here is worth more than a generic ad — and why the reference stays credible.
- Placements never influence a status, summary, source, or the order of anything on a directory page.
- Every placement is clearly labeled as sponsored and links out with rel="sponsored nofollow".
- Sponsor copy is checked before publishing and may not make legal-status, medical, or regulatory-endorsement claims.
- Placements appear only on non-verdict pages — the directory hubs and status roundups — never on a state answer page.
